APPLICATION:
Meloxicam is used to relieve inflammation and pain caused by acute and chronic musculoskeletal abnormalities, reduce pain and inflammatory response
after orthopedic surgery and soft tissue surgery. All NSAIDs should be used with caution in the perioperative period because of their adverse
effects on renal perfusion during periods of hypotension. If hypotension can be expected during anesthesia, meloxicam should be delayed until the
animal is fully resuscitated and blood pressure has returned to normal. Liver disease prolongs the metabolism of meloxicam, leading to a potential
risk of drug accumulation and overdose with repeated administration. Oral dosage forms should be taken by mouth directly or with food. In cats,
non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs have a longer half-life and a narrower safe range of therapeutic doses. Therefore, the dose should be precisely
controlled when using this product, and the recommended dose should not be exceeded. Animals with renal disease must be carefully evaluated
when using this product.
